New Years Resolutions

January 1, 2009

fireworksHappy 2009!

As mentioned HERE, I’m not crazy about waiting until a certain time in the future to get up and make a change in your life. I rather get up and do it now. The minute the idea of doing something pops in your head get up and  do it.  Or start getting the systems in place that will help you get what you want. Systems can be other people who can help you and a clear set of steps to take. But you’ve probably made your resolutions or set new set of goals for 2009. No problem. Try to keep them.

You don’t have to go all out at the beginning of the year. Start small. You got your big picture and you see the big goal that you want to achieve.  Create a path of smaller goals, that will lead you to the big one.

If one of your goals is weight loss, or finding time for exercise. HERE you will find an exercise time finder provided by the American College of Sports Medicine. “Putting your schedule on paper allows you to see when you can fit in exercise, and makes you more likely to stick to a plan” – ACSM.

Good luck!

I’m resolving to go for a run today–and to take a nap. Those are two things I’m doing for me, and I need to do more for me on a regular basis in the coming year!
